I'm sorry, but I have zero interest in the Country Bears attraction. I think I've seen it twice, but I don't see the appeal. It's just a little too corny for me, even though I'm from North Carolina!
I can understand what a big deal the technology was when it was created, and I understand the historical nature of it -- but there's just nothing about it that draws me in.
Carousel of Progress is similar in terms of technology and history, and I do go see that one occasionally. I guess there I like the song, and I do like seeing old history.
But those bears ... I just can't bear it.

I hear you on this. I just don't get it and I kind of find it offensive. I mean come on! Not everyone in the south is like that!
Hehe, You said corny....
Bears are not on my must see list. Carousel I have not seen since '76.
Although I would like to check that one out in January if it is running. I hear its one of those that is not always open.
We are under 4 months...woo hoo!
I love the Bears. I worked many a nights next to that attraction at the trading post and across the walk way at Big Al's. And Jeff you should be able to see Carousel. That last 2 times we have been there in Jan. it was running.
The bears are ok. The Carousel is our break time. There are so many hidden Mickey's in there.
I love Carousel!! It's the nostalgia for me I guess. Bears I can take of leave, but it's a must for my wife for some reason. She loves Big Al.
Carousel and the Bears are WONDERFUL in my humble opinion. But that's just because I LOVE the silly comedy.
JEFF - we must ride carousel together if possible. Trust me.
MAIN STREET AWAITS!
Shirts $ 17.99 when you can!!! :)
I definitely understand your feelings about the bears. I think the only reason I go see it anymore is for that historical aspect of it. But you know, as they say, different strokes for different folks. I know a lot of people that absolutely love the country bears and a lot of people that go on the carousel to sleep.
